19th MAP convention

“Rising with the millennials” Oct 17th – 19th, 2017

The fact that millennial are going to be the next generation to redefine organizational cultures and reshape the world is inevitable. However, how organizations perceive this change would determine their growth and sustainability. This year, MAP held its 19th Convention, themed to address the transformation in businesses and aligning the business strategies and sustainability by using the full potential of Millennial Generation, “Rising with the Millennials – Creating Sustainable Businesses”, with the lead partner Octara. Top corporate and business leaders from all over Pakistan; attended the 3-day event.

The convention’s focus was on ensuring sustainable strategies by becoming aware of the global challenges and accelerating change by understanding and harnessing the talents of millennials. Keynote speakers further discussed the possibilities of exponential thinking through the creation of ExOs’ (Exponential Organizations) – the organizations of the future.

The Convention featured distinguished international as well as local experts. The following three international keynote speakers drove the event:

Dr. José Cordeiro – PhD, M.Sc from MIT; MBA from INSEAD & Director, The Millennium Project/Faculty, Singularity University, USA.
Dr. Francisco Palao Reinés – PhD, MBA & Co-Founder and CEO of ExO Works, USA.
Ms. Soraya Sarif – Organizational Efficiency & Human Capital Strategist and Co-Founder of Synerjunction, Canada.

Ghias Khan, President & CEO, Engro Corporation, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, CEO, SOC Films and other leading national business leaders delivered valuable thoughts and experiences on the subject matter.

The executive discussion on the topic “Attracting Millennials” was one of the most thought provoking sessions during the day. With Ms. Soraya being the moderator, panelists shared their profound insights and perspectives on how to attract develop, engage, retain and empower Millennials.

The convention was bundled with two engaging post-convention workshops. On 18th October, Dr. José & Dr. Francisco conducted the workshop on “Business Transformation”, while on 19 th October, Ms. Soraya facilitated a half day workshop on “Embracing the Millennial Talent”.
